FAQ's

Foundry Kaolin — Common Questions

Kaolin acts as a bonding clay in green sand, holding sand grains together to give the mould strength and dimensional stability while still allowing it to collapse cleanly after the metal has solidified.

Yes. Our finer, higher-refractoriness grades are used in core-making binder systems and in mould wash / refractory coatings that protect the mould face from metal penetration and burn-on defects.

We supply in 25 kg and 50 kg HDPE bags, 1-tonne jumbo (FIBC) bags, and bulk container loading for larger foundries and casting plants.
